Win XP Pro using docking station a:/ drive

Posted: 05-21-2004, 12:32 AM
I am in need of some help to resolve this situation.

Recently my laptop crashed, had to do a clean install of
WinXP Pro (using NTFS) using floppy boot disks (downloaded
from microsoft). Now that i've reinstalled everything I
can't use my a:/ (which is located on docking station).
I'll get this error message, "windows unable to format
disk", and "unknown format", and this "wrong media type".
When 3.5 is inserted into drive I do hear the diskette
being accessed. I've tested undocking and connecting
external floppy drive, it works fine, able to save to and
recover files. Redock and back to same problem. Can
anyone help?
