Default Windows 2003 Server domain cannot see shared Vista computer

I have added a new Vista Ultimate computer to an AD domain and created shared
folders on the Vista machine.

The Vista machine can access all shares on the network (XP machine, W2003
Servers, etc), but the other machines on the network can see the name of the
Vista computer, but cannot access or list the shares, which are shown fine on
the Vista machine itself. For example "\\MyVista\Public" cannot be added as a
Network Place on either W2003 server.

I've checked all the settings on the Vista machine over and over, Network
Discovery, Public Folder Sharing, and File Sharing are on - both computers
are logged on as the same (administrative) domain user, Windows Firewall on
or off doesn't matter. (This machine is connected wirelessly through a
Linksys WAP11 access point, if that matters.)

I've checked other newsgroup postings with similar problems, but not these
exact symptoms.

I think it is permission issue. what's the system error if you do net view \\vistaipaddress?

Thanks for your reponse, Bob

Here's some more information:

The PDC Windows 2003 Server Enterprise SP1 is running AD, DHCP and
RRAS, not running Firewall (if that matters).

There is also a backup Windows 2003 Enterprise PDC running AD, not
running Firewall.

The Vista Ultimate computer can see all the other (non-vista) shares
on the domain just fine.

The server cannot ping the vista ip.

net view \\192.168.0.112

returns error 53.

Why can't I even ping the Vista computer - this seems like it must be
the problem?

SOLVED:

It seems that Dell ships Vista with McAfee's Firewall enabled in
addition to Windows Firewall.

When I disabled McAfee's Firewall, but kept Windows Firewall running,
I can see the Vista shares from the other domain machines.
