| I have some private information that I wanted to lock down in case someone else needs access to my machine. So put users that I wanted to lock out into a group called 'Ordinary Users.' I then restricted their rights to allow no access at all. I made no changes to my rights or to any group that I am part of. But now Windows won't let me read any files in there. I can browse the folders, but have no other access. I have checked the effective rights for me (I saw a tab for that in Advanced), but it says that I have full control and ownership of those folders. I then attempted to deleted all settings and reset them by having the folder inherit rights from its parent. That doesn't help.
