Windows disk cache disabled

Posted: 11-23-2003, 11:22 AM
I'm using XP Home and am getting the message 'disk cache disabled'. Can
anyone tell me how to re-enable this please?

System: Win XP Home, Intel Pent 4, 2.66Ghz. Maxtor 120Gbyte HD in three
partitions, System (20G) - Backup (20G)- Data (80G)

Thanks,

IanF

What's the exact error message? This may be referring to write cache. See
the following article:

Slow Disk Performance When Write Caching Is Enabled WGID:331

This option may be disabled if your hardware does not support it.

Thanks!
