I'm hoping you get this. I replied earlier. I have had
trouble with my replies actually posting ..

Create a "shortcut" on your desktop. Right (alternate)
click on an empty area on your desktop. Select New /
Shortcut. At this point the Create Shortcut wizard should
pop up (if you have XP or 2000). Browse for the exact
Folder/File, then Next, then type a name for your shortcut
& Finish

have after selecting or highlighting a bunch of files in a folder? It is
not telling me anything like it does at the bottom in windows 98
explorer..

And if you want it on all folders, press 'apply to all folders', and
then close the window with 'file exit' so it remembers it for next time.

I have a strange error. Without knowing it, I have
somehow screwed up the settings to explorer. When I go
in from a shortcut and select the c:\drive, it just pops
out without listing anything or opening up. If I manage
to right click and the selecte Explore - then I can move
about just like of old......

Any suggestion ?? (xp with sp1 installed)

I was trying to get the disk space to show and changed
some of the settings. I have tried to reset them like
another working machine close by but to no avail.

How do I change the launch string of windows explorer so
that it starts from my C drive under My Computer instead
of starting in My Documents when I start Windows
Explorer? Thanks for the help.
