umm...I find it deeply disturbing that you have no C:\ drive.

but, you could search your registry for references to C:\ and replace
them with F:\.

WARNING: THIS COULD BE A VERY BAD IDEA, SO MAKE A REGISTRY BACKUP FIRST.

Where would you like Windows Explorer to open? You can edit the target line
in the shortcut's properties to make Explorer open with the focus at any
folder you would like. I use
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,
To open with the focus on My Computer (can also be accomplished by pressing
Windows Key + E).

Using
C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,c:
Explorer would open with the focus on C:

When I open Explorer, there is a column on the left which shows folders. I get rid of that column, which I don't want,
by clicking on the "x" above it.
But the column always appears every time I open Windows Explorer. How can I get rid of that column permanently?

Thanks, CMA

Remove the /e from the shortcut's "Target"

Change;
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,C:\
to
%systemroot%\explorer.exe C:\
