windows explorer integration

Posted: 06-07-2005, 10:38 AM

I have a number of applications that have decided to integrate
themselves with windows explorer (ie the File drop down menu shows these
applications, otherwise known as shell extensions i believe).

How do I remove some of these applications from the drop down menu?

Thanks

Manage the context-menu entries for files, folders, drives and Namespace
objects:

Browser config question
Posted: 06-26-2005, 12:28 PM
I've been using FireFox for the past several months and I'd like to start
using IE again regularly, but I've accumulated lots of bookmarks in FF that
I would like to move into IE favorites. Problem is, can't seem to see a
simple way to import my FF bookmarks into IE... Any suggestions? Thanks.

FireFox has a bookmark manager, and you can export the favorites from there
to a Netscape type Bookmark format. Then, use IE's Import-Export wizard.

This is a great link.

Can you add any specific information about a particular problem that keeps
recurring for me? Right-clicking files and selecting "Open With" just gives
me one option: another "open with" (not in bold), which is a dead link.
Before it got this bad, XP was not adding new programs to this list when
chosen for a particular file type.

Thanks in advance.

Here it is:

Open-with list is collapsed; No items listed in the open-with menu:
