using xp home and in windows explorer, highlight a mp3 file how do Ichange the information in the 'Status Bar' way too much info, same

Type Regedit in Start RunNavigate to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\audio
and change the Infotip to what you want. This affects all registered audio files. Not all audio files support what is there, they ignore what they don't support. EG think about what you've doing.
Statusbar and Infotip are the same setting.
