Windows Installer 1322 Error

Recently reformatted C drive to install a new version of
XP pro (sp 1)

Ever since doing so, I get Windows installer errors. (got
the ones in Word and Outlook fixed) but everytime I
reboot, the windows installer tries to install
(something) and gets in a loop (also the error 1322 comes
up too) I have to resort (ctrl alt del) to task manager
several times to stop this.

Anyone experienced this before? I can't find this error
message in the MS list of errors.
