It seems my windows installer does not work.
I am trying to Un-install my imaging software and install
the latest version. When I un-install HP Photo and
Imaging Software, I get the following Windows Installer
msg "The Windows Installer Service could not be
accessed...Contact your support personnel for
assistance." I am stuck.

Windows Installer

Why is it that when you try to run updates in Windows XP
Professional, with a Logitech ITouch wireless keyboard
and mouse, do you get a message reading....windows could
not load the installer for keyboard (mouse, hdc, volume)?
This precipitates the failure of said update.

trying to install hp all in 1 1600. have downloaded the
driver and have cd, but gwt message before install
complete...the windows installer service could not be
accessed-running in safe mode? or windows installer not
correctly installed...any help???thanks sue

So are you indeed working in safe mode?
Does this software require administrator rights to install it, and you are not administrator?
