Windows Installer

I am trying to install a msi package on my eXP image.
The package runs but when I check the folders it should
have put the files in, none of them got copied over. Has
anyone ran across this problem?

Dan,
Did you make the installer. If you did, then make sure that the properties
for the folders are set to always create = true.

I am trying to load two different programs. Autocad Lite
2000 and Norton Ghost. I get the error: Incorrect command
line parameters, with Autocad, and: The Windows Installer
Service could not be accessed, with Ghost. I have gone
thru several of the "fixes" I have found. None work. I
have tryed to repair XP. Can't get that to work either.
HELP!!!!!

Which version of XP are you using? If it's not XP embedded you'd be better
off asking your question on the .general newsgroup.

ed,

Is your question related to Windows XP Embedded?
If so, remove "Windows Installer Service" component from your image
configuration.

I tried to update office 2000 and it didn't work. Thats
ok I guess but the windows installer tried to install the
update everytime I boot up my computer. Is there a way to
remove this update attempt from the windows installer? I
feel that if I don't there will be problems in the
future. Thanks Troy

Wrong group, we don't deal with end-user systems here. Try in the office
newsgroup.
