Re: Windows Installer Error

I am using Windows XP Professional. When I try to
install an application eg. MS VISIO a message appears
"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running Windows in safe
mode or if the Windows installer is not correctly
installed.

I am NOT running in Safe mode and when I download
Windows installer a message appears 'wrong OS'
