properties / appearance tab / advanced button (just appearance tab for
Win2k), you can select "Icon" in the "Item" list, and then set the text font
to a larger font - you can at least read everything that way. This setting
will affect the desktop and many windows (including explorer).
Most icons only exist in 1, 2 or sometimes 3 sizes, (16x16, 32x32 or sometimes
48x48 pixels). When you set icon sizes, it just picks the one closest to
that, and doesn't "stretch" or "shrink" them (or it would probably look
terrible). There are sometimes icons with varying color depths
(B&W, 16, or 256 colors) - it will choose depending on your screen color depth
and preference settings.
