Windows Live OneCare scan E-mail

Posted: 11-16-2006, 05:53 PM
Does anyone know if Windows Live Onecare beta for Vista scans my incoming
E-mail and outgoing E-mail?
I have just realized this my not be happening.Which is no good.I have
switched antivirus programs three times. Many talk about AVG, well it wouldnt
work for me.
Now I just realized if I dont have a program that scans my e-mail I will be
in trouble.

I don't know what OneCare does or doesn't do,
but, the scanning of emails is really nothing more
than marketing fluff. It's redundant and may cause
users problems, and is usually just a waste of resources-
especially, the scanning of outgoing emails.

OneCare does not scan emails. Scanning emails is redundant and totally
unnecessary. When you try and open an email/file with a virus, OneCare will
scan before it's executed.

I don't blame you. What's an extra virus scan, right?
