Windows Mail Organisation Attempt Turns to Disaster

Posted: 03-19-2007, 09:43 AM

I've tried importing the mail store from another computer, and took the
opportunity to try importing some older messages.

What has happened, while I was trying to organise things, is that my
messages seem to have multiplied several times. I now how a huge amount of
messages, with many, many duplicates. As things stated getting messy I kept
on trying to tidy it up until it all got out of control.

In the mail store folder I also have 63 edbxxxxx files which seem to have
something to do with this multiplying.

How can I get rid of this mess?!?!

ss.

Would it not perhaps be simpler to trash the whole lot and then re-
import from scratch?

That's what I did in the end, but I still have some duplicates to get rid
of.

Thanks, but your program does a lot more than I need, and I only need to do
this once. I'm being a cheapskate and so am looking fro something free, or
cheaper.
