Windows MCE and faxmodem

My computer is running Windows XP Media Center Edition.

I use a faxmodem for incoming faxes. Unfortunately, when the fax line
rings, the Media Center pops up and wants to answer the phone, and the normal
fax console cannot answer.

Can anyone here tell me how to disable Media Center's telephone answering?
I tried posting this in the Windows XP area, but got no response.
