Windows Media Player !

Hello.

I installed WIndows Vista Beta 2 Build 5384.
The Windows Media Player doesn't play any of my music files. The program
opens and i can select my music, then press "Play" and nothing happens. It
doesn't hangs or crash, simply does not play.

Are you sure you have sound?

Have you tried using Media Center which is included in Vista?

It does basically the same things that Media Player did under XP.

Media Center still has WMP as a part of it.

MC is included in higher-level SKUs of Vista (like Ultimate) but you may
lack the hardware to do much useful with it. I noticed that a short way
into the configuration process for it that it says you need the
remote-control (which is only supplied with OEM devices).
