windows Media player fault...help

WMP 10 does not play disks from my DVD/CD-RW drive. Only a strong mush is
emmitted. YET when I use Media Player Classic disks play OK, so my drive is
OK. WMP plays OK files already on my computer. I tried to go back to
Version 9 but still got the same result. This happened after I tried to see
what was on a faulty disk. I did a restore point to hours before but the
same result. Any suggestions please ?

What if you download Media Player 11?
