Windows Messenger 5.0 won't run

she uninstalled it and used Windows Messenger 4.7
instead. Then I told her to upgrade it to Windows
Messenger 5.0. The installation ran without a problem,
but now she cannot start WMessenger 5.0. It gives this
error everytime:
"This application has failed to start because the
application configuration is incorrect. Reistall the
applicationmay fix this problem".
Reinstall does not make any difference.
Please advise.
