Activate Windows Messenger and click the Tools/Options and uncheck the part
to activate when Windows starts.

this will not solve the problem. It still will come up
when Outlook Express is opened. Se my post after this one.

Why on earth don't they provide an upgrade of Windows Messenger on XP?? Too
complicated? Don't they know their product? They can produce new OS every 6
months but can't they upgrade Windows Messenger... Too many lines of code maybe.
:-D (rotfl)

.. "You can uninstall Windows Messenger but you have to install SP1 and you won't
have support for remote assistance"...

.. "If you want Messenger 6 only you'll have to disable Windows Messenger 4.x"...

And what if I don't like conditional usage of software I install on MY machine?
After all I can live without Messenger 6 on Windows XP; can you?
