It says that this video type is not supported, so I'm thinking there's no
way to do it, but I'm hoping there's some way to make it happen.

Hello,I don't think so - but you can input the WMV file to a DivX encoder to
output a DivX file.

possible yes.... advisable no.... best to convert the Divx files to DV-AVIor WMV to avoid issues during editing and saving the movie.
I say possible because I use MM2.1 as my conversion utility for Divx
files.... but that'll only work if it lets you import them and put them on
the timeline.... success depends on the Divx codec(s) on your system.
