Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility - Doesn't!

Posted: 02-04-2007, 07:18 AM
OK, so I downloaded the "Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility" (see my
January 23, 2007 11:12 AM thread). But it won't pull the catalog from my
backup files on my file server. I right click the root node on the left and
choose Catalog File... After I pick a backup file, I get about 1 or 2
seconds of the spinning green circle, but no catalog.

I tried an XP computer on the network that had never seen the backup file
and it was able to catalog the backup file and restore a file from the
backup. Any tips on getting "Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility" to work?

I right clicked on the shortcut to "Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility" and
chose "Run As..." so I could try running as the network administrator. But
Vista never stopped to ask me for alternate credentials.

Daniel, we'd like to investigate this further. Can you contact me via email?
Please use my address minus "online."

Thanks!
