Windows Photo & fax viewer

I have received photos sent to me from a couple people
via email. When I click on the attachment icon and open
the photo, I see a blue background with editing
selections under the picture. If I click on next
picture, there are all kinds of stuff loaded after the
original picture. Photos of unknown origin, banner ads,
porn pix, and the most disturbing, a printout of a check
I looked at during on line banking. How is this stuff
getting on there? It's as if it's downloaded, although
I've never loaded anything into that file. Is there a way
to remove all this? What about removing the program and
reinstalling it??

In IE6, click on Tools, click on Internet options.
A window will open. Click on the Delete button in the middle of this window
to delete your Temporary Internet files. A smaller window will open, include
Delete all offline content. Then, Delete Cookies.
Click on the Advanced button of this window. Scroll down to Security and
check the box "Empty Temporary..."
Close your browser.
Send yourself an e-mail, attaching a photo.
See if the above took care of your problem.
If not, post back. You will have to dig further to remove the annoying
files.
