Windows Photo Gallery

It opens but when I click on anything is stalls and says "no longer
responding". This happened after I moved over my files to be viewed on an
external drive. It was working fine when I moved them over but now when it
opens....it does not allow me to click on anything to open in the gallery.
If I do....no longer responding and I have to close.

In WPG, did you remove the folders where the files used to be? It's probably
still looking for the moved folders.
And add the new folders on the other drive?

I did do one thing. I thought I moved the program to my desktop by creating
a shortcut.

The shortcut is aimed here: "C:\Program Files\Windows Photo
Gallery\WindowsPhotoGallery.exe"

It starts fine and I can see all the photo folders but when I click on
one....it stalls and says "no longer responding" each and every time..never
opening up. I even tried using system restore since the computer is only a
few weeks old.

Still get the same thing. Thinking of nixing it all together and using my
own camera software like I did with my old computer but I kind of liked how
WPG was working so I want to find an answer for a fix if I can.

My guess is that the registry cleaner you use may have wiped out one or more registry keys (GUID or associated AppID data) related to WPG Import dialog. Does the registry cleaner you use has an "undo" feature?

Hi
There are the links for CCleaner and Free Registry Cleaner:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_...ry_cleaner.htm
There is no "undo" option in any of this program.
