Default Windows Security Center reports antivirius that have been removed

Trying to get an antivirius that works with Vista I have installed and then
fullly unistalled 2 antivirius.
The windows security center still reports that I have an antivirius and
lists the two that were on my machine.
Checked services and running programs and found no traces of the antivirius
program
Scanned the registry for the name listed in the security center and found no
match

(1) How do I get rid of the lsiting of the antivirius programs in the
Security Center?

I had the same problem and the following steps solved it:

(1) stop the WMI service.
(2) rename or delete the "repository" folder in C:\windows\system32\wbem.
(3) start the WMI Service. Starting the service rebuilds the deleted folder
and the database, reboot.
