Windows update and Administrator Account

Running Windows Vista Ultimate on a Dell. I cannot set my Update to automatic
because it says some settings are managed by the Administrator. I AM the
Administrator. I cannot get the updates to configure correctly because the
Automatic Update is greyed out.
What can I do?
