Windows update for ASP.net

I regularly update Windows and recently installed
Microsoft.NET Framework Version 1.1. This upgrade created
a new user account called ASP.NET Machine A..., complete
with it's own password (which is unknown to me).

Is this normal? Can I safely delete this account? Does
this account present a security risk?
