Windows Update - where is it?

When I visit Windows Update manually using my browser with Beta 1 it
describes how to do this from within the operating system. Off I go back to
Vista. I check for the link on the All Programs menu that it describes but
it's not there! There's no mention of Windows Update.

How, it at all do I access Windows Update with Beta 1?

You mention "Beta 1." What build number are you currently testing? Beta 2
(Build 5384.4) and subsequent builds have been released. Perhaps Beta 1 is
no longer being supported.

Hello, you can access Windows Update from the control panel. It is located
in System and Maintenance -> Windows Update.

The search box in the at the bottom of the start menu is your new Vista
friend.
