| Hi, please forgive me if this was not the place or the answer has already been posted somewhere else but I've looked and can't seem to find it. I bought a new computer about 3months ago and it was supposedly a gaming machine(and best buy reccomended...vista) so anyways it took about a month before i actually set it up at home and for 2month it worked perfectly, without a problem at all. However, recently about 4 or 5 days ago, after turning on the computer I noticed a problem. down where it shows my internet connectivity was a yellow ! saying that I had limited connectivity (although i was just on it less than 8 hours ago without problems) I have been searching the web to find an answer from my fathers computer(who is also not very computer savvy, has the router connected, and has a failing keyboard so please forgive spelling mistakes) His internet is absolutely perfect, not a thing wrong with it. Please if anyone could possibly help me I'd REALLY appreciate it, it took years of saving up at my age to buy such an expensive computer and if I would already have to have it looked at, my mother would be upset. If you need any information on any settings please tell me here how to find them and I will find them and post, thanks. | Guest

| The next time that happens look in the 'Network and Sharing Center' and see if your Internet Network has changed from private to public. That would make your Internet change to limited connectivity. Good luck. =========================== "Lil Stevie" <Lil Stevie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:243BC933-B714-4056-BE91-A35DB33F747F@microsoft.com... Quote:

| Yes sir, when I disconnected and attempted reconnecting to the wireless connection I always have since we've had this internet 3years ago, it brings up a screen that shows it connecting however a message appears saying "Connection taking longer than usual" and after a bit longer it connects with the limited connectivity sign, however when I DO check the network im connectd to it does for some odd reason say public, here is exactly what it call the network i connect to: "Unidentified Network(public network)" Thanks for replying btw so far this is the farthest i've gotten with anyone heh I'd much appreciate more help"NetBiznessMan" wrote: Quote:

| do you know what these updates were? did you reboot? can you roll back the drivers for the wireless in device manager if a newer driver was installed? On Sun, 1 Jul 2007 16:14:01 -0700, George <George@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: Quote:
