| Hello all I'm trying to connect a Windows Vista Ultimate laptop to our Windows 2003 network, but am having problems... The network has DHCP so I know all the IP/gateway/DNS/etc addresses are ok. I can ping the PDC and any other PC/server on the network. However, when I try to list the servers/PCs on the network, nothing shows up. If I try to access a server directly (typing \\domain\pdc\share on a window) I get error messages. The most I can do is access individual servers/Pcs using their IP (\\192.168.69.1\sys), however this does not solve the problem. We access the Internet via a proxy (called PROXY), but since the Vista can't find the server called PROXY... for some reason replacing PROXY on the IE with the PROXY's IP is not working... The firewall is off, so no problems there. File and network detection are on... Any ideas? | Guest
