windows xp and fax ptinting to my epson action printer 5000 escp2

would like to know how to print where there is no spaces
straight through my printed work. Sometime my printing is
fine. but after I use my scanner to do photo copy or after
I fax something and want to print and hit the print
preview everything look fine. When I send it to the
printer it prints but with a horizontal space straight
through the printed information. Then i remove that
printer and install a new one which usually work. except
this time it did not and I ran troubleshout and didn't get
anywhere. please help me with this problem. this printer
is ok otherwise. I like this printer because it allows me
to use the ribbon tape and do a lot of school woork
without having to change cartridge.
