Oh, so it's a program I have to actually buy. I was
hoping I could just copy it all directly to a disk.

Windows XP Pro (not sure about Home since I don't have
it) has built in backup. Go to Accessories->System Tools-
>Backup. You can either backup just data or creat an ASR
(Automated System Restore) image.

I'm playing with the ASR right now and trying to figure
out if I can restore to a different drive type (currently
RAID I'm trying to go to non-RAID). Has anybody done a
restore with an image on a different drive configuration?

As far as Drive Image, I've got that also. I restored an
image last week and it didn't fully work. Windows
wouldn't boot. I had to do a "repair" using the Win CD,
but after that things seemed to be fine. I'm not sure
what happened, but some of the Windows system files were
corrupt (file sizes were different than other XP
machines).
