Windows XP LPD Service

Posted: 08-26-2003, 03:57 PM
I have an HP1000 connected to the USB port on my Windows
XP Pro box. Local printing works fine. I installed and
started the LPD service (tcpsvcs)so I can also access
this printer from my Sun (UNIX)workstation. When I send
a print job from the Sun, UNIX acts normally and it
appears to arrive correctly at the Windows box(I can see
the entry in the Windows print queue for a second), but
it disappears almost immediately (and is never actually
printed). Any thoughts?
