Windows XP Networking Printing To Windows 98

Posted: 11-05-2003, 07:20 PM
I am connected to our office Network(TCP/IP) and print
through a Printer (HP Laser Jet 1100) that is connected
to a Windows 98 machine.

I can print when I first boot up my system but after
about 5 minutes I can no longer print. I have tried
setting the print up through a Local Port as well as
through a Lan Manager Printer Port connection and get the
same result, dropped after about 5 minutes. I can still
connect to the network and browse the internet, I just
can print.

Any help would be much appreciated, I love using XP but
not being able print has me thinking about reverting back
to Windows 98 which worked fine for printing.
