Windows XP and NT profiles

Has anyone tried installing windows XP on an NT network.
WE currently run NT4 workstations and servers, but are
considering upgrading our workstations to XP. Only I am
not sure what will happen to existing users profiles on
NT. Will they be copied across to XP?
