Windows XP Office

Posted: 09-08-2003, 05:16 PM
My computer tells me that XP is registered to a different
computer. I had a different laptop (that didn't
function) that XP was originally registered under. I
purchased a new computer and the program will let me run
a limited amount of times, due to it be registered under
the previous computer. Does anyone know how I can
resolve this problem. I have a limited amount of time
because the laptop is daily necessity.
Thank you

You mean "Activation" not registration, registration is always optional.
Run activation again, when asked how you wish to activate, select the phone
option. Call that number, explain what happened and they will give you a
new activation number over the phone.

Use the phone number in the Office Activation screens and call. I
transferred a copy of Office from one laptop to another and had to do the
same thing. It took minutes to accomplish.
