Better late than never (for those who are interested).

Basically the fix (to search all file types without exclusions) is in setting (modifying) the following dword
value:[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex],"FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions"=1.
