Windows XP and Speech

What is the deal with Speech recognition in XP?? Every
single time that I start up an Office application i get
this ANNOYING message that tells me that I have to
configure it in order to use it. The thing is, I DON'T
WANT TO USE IT. In fact, I just don't care. I just want
to get to work on whatever; not have to click this
irritating cancel/OK thing each time I try to use office.
How do you KILL this irritating/unaskedfor feature?
