| Hi, Kelly. If you really want to start fresh, just boot from the WinXP CD-ROM and tell it to (repartition, if you like, and) reformat your hard drive. Unless you plan to install Win9x/ME on this computer some day, let it use NTFS all the way. This is the time to decide if you want a single partition or two. WinXP will be just as happy either way. Many of us like to have a fairly small (3-6 GB?) Drive C: with just the operating system in it, and a second partition for our programs and data. Then, if we need to reformat one partition, we don't need to disturb the other. Let Setup create and format Drive C:, then use Disk Management to create and format any other partitions that you like after WinXP is installed and running. RC -- R. C.
