Do you mean that you're now back to square one in that your computer starts
up fine but it is now without the patch(es) ? If so, consider just
downloading the "worm thing" patch by itself for now from this Microsoft
page: http://tinyurl.com/h84v
and thereafter, just install your remaining 17 patches one at a time.
