Hi,
I have a couple questions that I am stumped on regarding
Windows XP professional workstations and a Windows 2000
Active Directory Domain.
It seems to take a few minutes for any of our Windows XP
Professional workstations to connect to the Windows 2000
domain. This problem does not exist for Windows 2000
Professional workstations. Does anyone know why this
occurs and if there is a why to speed this process up XP
workstations?
Also with our Windows XP machines, they take forever to
open and connect to mapped drives when clicked on. These
mapped drives do not show the red X over them as if they
were asleep. In addition, when a document is open from a
mapped drive and someone on a Windows XP professional
workstation tries to save the document it freezes when
attempting to browse to save it.
Any suggestions or directions to point me in would greatly
be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
TDetrick
