WindowsXP taskbar frozen after standby...

Posted: 10-21-2003, 01:18 AM
Lately, when I reopen the lid of my Toshiba notebook, the desktop pops up
but all items on the taskbar including the Start button are "dead". The
icons on the desktop work fine; it's just the Taskbar that goes out of
commission after a return from standby mode.

What gives? Any solutions. Ctrl-Alt-Delete and Restart is tiresome.

Thanks!

Dear Carygee,

If this always happens when you return from the Stan-by
mode then Toshiba must have provided you the restore CD
please insert that cd and restore the os.
