WinXP printing problem with Win2k as print server

Posted: 08-19-2003, 01:03 PM
I am having this problem quite some times but cannot find a way to solve.
Please help:

Some of my users are now using Windows XP while my Win2k print server
connect 3 HP Laserjet 4000 series printer. Those Windows XP users often
have problem printing with MS Word 2002 or Excel 2002. The printout usually
miss the right half or bottom half or the page is diminished.

I have tried to use either PCL5 or PCL6 printer driver but still having the
same problem. Is there any native printer driver for Windows XP which can
be put into Windows 2000 server?

BTW, what is the difference between PCL5 and PCL6 driver? Which one is
better?
Thank you.

Best Regards,
Joseph
