Wiping 5308 on a dual boot system?

Posted: 03-25-2006, 05:14 AM
Silly question, but I wanted to check just in case.

I've installed 5308 as a dual boot system with MCE2005 which works fine,
but I've had to install that build 3 times so have ended up with 3 windows
folders:

Windows
Windows.old.
Windows.old.000

Now with the new build released I want to wipe that partition completely
and start with the new build afresh.

So am I right to just format that partition from within MCE2005 (if it will
let me)? Or is there a better way to do it?

Just format it from within Windows XP MCE 2005, there will be no problems,
just as long as Windows XP is the primary operating system and Vista is on a
logical drive.

Thanks Andre, that is what I hoped, formatting just started NTFS 4096
allocation unit size - will probably take ages though as it is a 31.9Gb
partition
