Wireless Disconnect Issue.

I hope this is the right forum.

I have a wireless nic in my system (PCI). I can connect to my wireless router with no problem. However, every so often (timeline is random), the network is unavailable.

By this I mean, the NIC displays the SSID, Speed and Wirelss Strength as Excellent. However, when I try to browse, ping or perform othe rnetwork functions I can't. Further, I can see the SSID in the wireless network browser, and when I try to connect, it just times out.

I have to reset my router.

Also, I am using WEP64, but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Preamble is set to AUTO, RTS and Frag Threshold are at: 2346, Data TXfer is Auto.

It is a Seimens SE567 and my NIC is a DlinkG520. The only thing that has changed is the router (about 2 months ago), but this just started happening.

I would appreciate any pointers or assistance.

Thanks.

Have your tried to reinstall the driver for your wireless network card?

Thanks

Yes I have - should have mentioned that as well.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of. I've even contacted Telus
(ISP) and they are going to send me a new Router (Seimens won't touch it as
they say the Telus modified the firmware code).

Will have to see what happens.

Thanks
