Wireless Issues

Posted: 03-30-2007, 03:16 AM
Just a few notes before I launch into my problem:

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition
My laptop is a Compaq Presario V6000
I am using the WLAN Broadcom 802.11b/g card

I seem to have issues with my wireless. I seem to be able to connect fine
to other networks such as my college network and library, but have been
unable to connect to my home wireless network. I have the SSID and Password
written down correctly too and the other laptops running on Windows XP have
been able to connect just fine. I have contacted the folks at HP and talked
with them about this and have not been able to get it fixed, even after
uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers as well as looking at the IPv6.

I hope I was clear enough there. Can anyone help me out here?

What do you mean by security?

If you're talking about antivirus, I am running Norton Protection Center. I
don't think the security is an issue though because I am perfectly able to
connect to my neighbor's WiFi as well as my college's WiFi without having to
go through security checkpoints of any sort.
