PPPoE. After my upgrade to Vista the modem is not detected. My networking
skills are not too hot and I would appreciate any insights.

You most likely missing drivers. Check your device manager. You willlikely find an unknown device with a yellow exclamation icon. You need to
find device drivers. There is a remote possibility that XP drivers would
work if you manually install them however might not be as stable or reliable
as Vista specific drivers.
