WMP 9 crash with DFX & Audioscrobbler

I'm having a problem with multiple plugins crashing WMP.
I can run either DFX (a DSP from FXSound,) *or*
Audioscrobbler, (an opensource way to identify and encode
ID3 tags, as well as integrating nicely with Last.fm,)but
not both together. This didn't used to be a problem, so
I'm guessing one of the Hotfixes created certain
incompatabilities.

I use WMP 9.00.00/3250, WinXP Home w/SP2, DFX 7.0, and
Audioscrobbler v1.1.7, build 597.

Any ideas?
