WMP plays videos funny

Where do I update the divx codecs and where do I turn on
video overlay?

start wmp goto tools/options/performance/advanced/tick use video mixing and
use overlays

Turning on the video overlay did not help as it was
already on. I also can not find the codec to download.

I downloaded a codec and it did not help. I also tried
the turning on the overlay but it was already on.

The only way I can get video to work is to go on Kazaa
play the video then stop it. Then open WMP and play the
video and that will only work tell I close the K-Lite.
