WMP9 Lock Up on "copy to device"

When sending playlists (of varying sizes)WMP immediately
goes to 100% utilization of cpu with up to 100mb memory
usage (NO OTHE APPS Running except system stuff and
norton); the status window does not update, and about 10
or so songs into the playlist, WMP stops working. When I
close WMP..task mgr still shows up to 60% cpu utilization,
and I can only close wmp9 through task manager.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled wmp9, updates and new
drivers for Nomad.
This is a consistent problem that happens EVERY time I try
to copy a playlist to my player. Any thoughts are
appreciated.
